Ian is currently the CTO with Life Without Barriers following CIO roles at WaterNSW and Endeavour Energy and so brings a strong experience to the application of technology to business issues. Ian is an Electrical Engineer by training and has built his career in the electricity, rail, chemicals and water industries. From more industrial environments, Ian has shifted focus to human services over the last year.

Ian was the 2020 #6 in the CIO Top 50 and also the 2020 ITNews benchmark award for IOT Solutions. Ian has completed a range of business transformation programs with a passion for implementing a comprehensive applications architecture and data use cases using agile development techniques.

Ian takes responsibility for the enterprise architecture that defines how all company data is captured, organized and made accessible and recognizes the importance of enabling data to be joined across all sources and democratized for access.

Ian’s goal is to leave a legacy of capability within the business by continuously developing his leadership skills, breakthroughs in new ways of working and solving problems in a collaborative and commercially astute way.
